Actually, I have a theory that this is a reference to Pixar movies. It’s a running gag that the phrase A113 is included in most Pixar movies, one of which is Monsters Inc. In Monsters Inc., monsters haunt children through doorways (keyholes), and one of the main characters, Mike Wazowski, has a single eye, as is referenced in the Grimoire.

I’d like to think that maybe it’s a cheeky reference by Bungie, but maybe I’m reading too much into it. Either way, it’s a cool one.

Nah, you aren’t reading things into it. It is a definite easter egg. lolz

I wonder what it actually is, though. Maybe we’ll see it in a future Destiny installment, since it was likely destroyed when Ceres went kaput.
