Could SIVA be considered a pathogen like entity

I know SIVA is not “alive” in the traditional biological sense, but I have two questions, how does SIVA acquire additional mass for self replication and given the final mission in Rise of Iron and how we fight reanimated Iron Lords and in general when we stand next to SIVA “flowers” we gain the ‘SIVA Swarm’ debuff could it be considered pathological to an extent?

Thanks for the reply! I would have to say that I mean pathological in the sense of a pathogen based illness, like influenza. I hate it when I accidentally mistranslate words! Good catch though.
