Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster.
Is there any lore about the animal found on Beyond Light items? It’s on a few of the Collector Edition physical items as well as the hat on the Bungie Store. It’s also on the Salvation’s Downfall emblem in-game.
Looks like a tiger? Shape is vaugely cat like and it appears to have stripes so I don’t really have another idea.
I’m pretty sure it’s a mushussu, a Babylonian/Assyrian mythological creature that’s kind of a mix of a dragon and a griffin. I’m not sure what it has to do with anything on Europa, but it’s worth noting that the most famous depictions of mushussu are on the Ishtar Gate of Babylon, a reference that’s (obviously) been used in Destiny before.
