**The Guardian travels from Earth’s orbit to the Dreaming City. Saint speaks over their comms.

Saint-14: Guardian… thank you for accompanying me.

Saint-14: Ikora issued an order for Osiris’s arrest. She has questions about his involvement in Lakshmi’s attack on the Eliksni.

Saint-14: I volunteered to collect him from the Dreaming City, where he now hides. No one will touch Osiris until I know the truth.

Saint-14: He has acted rashly in the past, but… I have never seen him willingly endanger the City.

Saint-14: Something is wrong. I have felt it for some time now. He is… distant.

Saint-14: Help me bring him home.

**The Guardian’s ship enters the Dreaming City, and they enter.

++Harbringer’s Seclude, The Dreaming City

Saint-14: I am… [grunts] I am making way through the opposite flank from you. The Hive are swarming!

Saint-14: We will be as the mighty crabs of old and pincer them! Break their lines, and meet me at Osiris’s signal.

**The Guardian fights Hive as they proceed forward.

Saint-14: Geppetto says there’s another Ghost nearby. Lightbearer, reveal yourself.

The Crow: That would be me.

Saint-14: What are you doing here, bird brother? Did Zavala not send you away?

The Crow: Osiris called me for help. With all these Hive around, I can see why. This reeks of Xivu Arath.

Saint-14: He… called you? No. Go home. This is not your fight to take; it is mine.

The Crow: You can’t keep him in a cage, Saint. You’re not the only one who cares about him.

Saint-14: Lectures? You know nothing! Osiris is not himself, and I will be the one to bring him back.

**The Guardian finds the door locked. Xivu Arath’s reinforcements descend on them. They defeat Rhungatt, Might of Xivu Arath before breaking through.

The Crow: Still fumbling around in the overworld, old Light? There’s an Awoken device near you. It should let you slip into the Ascendant Plane and get you closer to Osiris.

Glint: Crow and I used them to hide from the Wrathborn.

The Crow: Stalk, we were stalking, not hiding.

**The Guardian defeats some invading Hive and interact with an Awoken Beacon. It sends a beam into the air as it aligns. A portal opens behind it.

Saint-14: Taken portals, Awoken dimensions. Fine. Go, Guardian, take the Crow’s path.

**The Guardian enters the Ascendant Plane. A mirror image of the Harbringer’s Seclude appears, distorted and shattered.

The Crow: The Ascendant Plane should skirt you past the Hive’s barricades. Just be sure to mind the Taken.

**Fighting through Taken enemies, the Guardian finds a path through the Ascendant Plane.

The Crow: Word to the wise: bringing down Quria left the Taken rattled. I don’t think Savathûn has control of them anymore.

Saint-14: No matter! My bullet do not know the difference.

**The Guardian defeats H’Kullna, Stained By Darkness before aligning the next Awoken Beacon. A portal appears. But before they can jump through it, Hive and Taken spawn in front of them, including Kelgorath, Risen From Bones.

Saint-14: Guardian. many Taken signals falling on you.

The Crow: A big Wrathborn headed your way too.

Saint-14: Be brave. Osiris is not far ahead.

**The Guardian defeats the enemies blockading them.

Saint-14: I am not far ahead of you, Guardian… we converge on Osiris’s signal.

The Crow: Then we’ll see each other soon. Crow out.

Saint-14: Whatever happens, friend, we cannot lose him. Even if I do not understand, I must believe his actions have purpose.

**The Guardian jumps through the portal, returning to the Dreaming City.

**Ahead of them, Crow has found Osiris, speaking with Mara Sov. He looks around, confused but curious. Mara notices him and turns to speak to him.

Queen Mara Sov: I had hoped you’d find your way back.

The Crow: I’m a bit lost, actually… but this feels familiar.

**Crow pauses, looking at Mara closely.

The Crow: Do I know you?

**Mara’s face is stoic but her eyes close slightly, betraying some emotion of seeing her brother alive again, before she looks over his shoulder to Saint as he and the Guardian enter.

Saint-14: Osiris…

Saint-14: You must come home. Answer for what you have done. The Vanguard will show mercy —

Osiris: Yes, Ikora and Commander Zavala are nothing is not generous.

Osiris: Queen Mara, look how they’ve welcomed the Crow into their flock.

**“Osiris” waves his fingers at Mara, taunting, beginning to drop the facade. The Crow walks forward to try to convince him to return.

The Crow: It isn’t too late. You can still be forgiven.

Osiris: Be careful… I’ll hold you to it.

**Osiris takes steps backwards. As he speaks, his voice distorts; another feminine voice begins to overlap and then overtake it. As he steps out of view, Hive roaring and the sound of transformation can be heard. Everyone’s eyes look up as something before them gets bigger and bigger.

**Saint shakes his head, shouting with disbelief.

Saint-14: No, no, NO!

**The Crow, Saint-14, and the Guardian begin to step back but Mara Sov remains in place. Mara closes her eyes in concentration as the shadows begin to consume the room before she holds out her hands, eyes glowing, and there is a flash of light as she contains whatever is transforming. There is a sound of cracking crystals.

**A huge crystal stands in place of where Osiris once was, vaguely humanoid, standing roughly 25 feet high. The Crow, Mara Sov, and Saint-14 stand in front of it, with Saint pointing his shotgun at it and shouting with rage.

Saint-14: WHERE. IS. OSIRIS.

Queen Mara Sov: Lower your weapons. Osiris still lives.

Saint-14: You trust this thing?

Queen Mara Sov: This thing and I have come to an agreement. You need only cooperate.

The Crow: What is it?

Savathûn: I am Savathûn, the Witch Queen, Sister of Shapes, Deepest in the High Coven, etcetera, etcetera.

Savathûn: My sister Xivu Arath hunts me on behalf of another. I wish to only be free, and Mara Sov has graciously agreed to help.

The Crow: And Osiris?

Savathûn: Sweet that you should care, little bird. I have been Osiris for as long as you’ve known him.

Savathûn: But rest assured: I will return him safely to you… in exchange for your assistance.

Saint-14: Queen of Lies, pray this is the one time you are telling truths.

Saint-14: The Vanguard must know what has happened here. Stay, Guardians. I will go.

**Saint-14 transmats out of the room.

Queen Mara Sov: Someone once told me the line between light and dark is so very thin.

Queen Mara Sov: Walk it alongside me. For Osiris.

Queen Mara Sov: This will guide you: a powerful relic of Awoken design. Take it, and return to your H.E.L.M.

**Mara and Crow stare up at the crystal; they occasionally exchange glances but say nothing to each other.

**The Guardian enters the Reliquary and retrieve a Wayfinder’s Compass.

Created Cocoon based on this post.

hi, thank you so much for this. i am sorry that this, among other things has been lost in the tangle of the forums.
due to a need to link to this transcript from other articles, i went ahead and published it before checking in with you, and while publishing, made a few adjustments for clarity/spatial positioning/and style.

so i wanted to cover a few of the opinionated changes here, you can let me know if you disagree with anything and it’s a simple click of the edit button away from fixing.

this seemed to all be Taken enemies aside from the boss, so I noted it as

Taken spawn in front of them, accompanied by a Hive Knight, Kelgorath, Risen From Bones.

“blockading” has more of a geographical and strategic meaning so i sided with “blocking”

a few “jumps” became “enters” just to ensure we don’t imply there’s any platforming happening here.

“eyes close slightly” felt ambiguous so i chose “eyes narrow” if that’s alright

wasn’t sure where this number came from, and bungie “says” it’s 21 feet, but i am hoping just “huge” covers it for now. if you wan, we can find an appropriate size comparison though
